THE PETTEFORDS
You can always count on the “Pettefords.”by Peter Hall
If a car full of Pettefords turns up at the Rec around 10:30 am on any Saturday you can bet your bottom dollar that Bath are playing at home.
I refer of course to the Petteford family, who are always on duty, come rain – come shine. Tony Petteford’s experience driving H G V’s stands him in good stead for his car parking activities, aided and abetted by uncle “Whip” Petteford. Both help the stewards who regularly manage to park 200 cars where there’s just about room for 150!
Carol is Mum and she works with Rowena Andrews in the club shop. A big thank you to them for all their efforts.
Daughter Sarah is I.C. of programme sales and shares her Mother’s talent for selling. Away from the Rec she does a great deal of work for charities including a sponsored run in the Bath Half Marathon.
Carol would be the first to agree that attendance at the Rec brings it’s own rewards – enjoyment at helping – enjoyment in belonging.
