Career details:
Earned his 1st England U19 cap whilst still at Bath Technical School. David was selected to play for England when there was what might be called a “Youth policy in selection” and he was unfortunate not have been selected on more occasions since he was a more mature player in the ensuing years.

David is the younger brother of Allen and son of Bill Gay both of whom also played for the club.
David also played for Harlequins RFC whilst studying at Guildford Law School.

Yes, I can add you and others but I don’t have any details for you. At present I am only loading those who played 1 game for the 1st XV but I can expand to cover United and Spartans

Mike, David Gay did play a full season for England but there was only 4 games in the 5 Nations at the time (England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and France)
