Career details:

Educated at Clifton College in Bristol, Ed Pearce was an England Colt’s player and had the unusual distinction of playing in size 16 boots! His uncle was a prop forward for Bristol. Ed joined Bath in the pre-professional era and played a vital role in the Bath United side in 1995/1996 season. He had already made his 1st XV debut by then though; starting the match with Oxford University at the Recreation Ground on the 12th November 1994, a match that Bath won 33pts-26pts. In total, Ed made sixteen appearances for Bath (scoring one try), but only one of those games came in the professional era, and that was in the cross-code challenge match with Wigan in mid-May 1996. Ed left the club before the commencement of the 1996/1997 season really began and latterly played some outstanding rugby for Gloucester and Montferrand coming back to the Rec. for the Parker Pen Cup Semi Final match in 2004. Returning home, Ed joined Bristol Shoguns in the summer of that year.
