Career details:

Irish born Roche was thrust into the Bath first team along with Michael Wood, as wing cover for a side shorn of its attacking armoury in 1997. The youngster had impressed with a brace of tries as a replacement for Jon Sleightholme in the pre-season trial match against Newbury where he came on as a replacement for Jon Sleightholme and was thus given a league debut in the opening match of the 1997/1998 season at home to Newcastle Falcons. Unfortunately, he was unable to repeat the feat in the tougher surrounds of the Allied Dunbar Premiership and after making a total of seven appearances (six starts with one as a substitute) he left the club. Brian later re-united with Wood at Rotherham as the Yorkshire side gained promotion to the top echelons of the game, before heading back to Ireland for stints with Cork Constitution, Shannon, Sunday’s Well and Highfield in the All-Ireland League and with Munster in the Heineken Cup.
