Bath's Playing Strip
From Founder Member Thomas Gandy’s interview of 1921 it was said that the Club’s first playing strip consisted of:-
Blue Jerseys, White Shorts (known as “Knicks”), Red Stockings and Red Caps.
Due to the influence of Thomas Gandy (who brought the change from Windsor) the jerseys were changed to Blue and Black
In 1906, the Club Management Committee, seeking to restore the faded reputation of the Club, decided to ditch the Blue and Black strip for White jerseys adorned with the City Coat of Arms.
in the 1908/1909 season, the Management Committee decided it was time once again for a change and to ditch the experiment with White jerseys in favour of a return to Blue and Black, with the addition of White hoops. This remained the official Bath strip until the advent of professional rugby in 1996.
