This team won a Sevens tournament at Abingdon RFC in 1966 beating Oxford Thursday (15pts to 3pts) a “barbarian type” seven comprising players from top London Clubs and Oxford University. The “Thursdays” had cruised through the earlier rounds to reach the final. However, in the final they could not compete with the ball winning skills of Hall, Collins and Orledge.
