18/1/1890 BATH F. C. FANCY DRESS MATCH
An excessively amusing match was played this afternoon at Kensington Meadows, between teams formed out of the Bath F C, most of the players being attired in fanciful costume. The dresses were very varied. Clowns were everywhere to be seen, and for want of pantaloons had to do honour to the ladies, who were present as representing many nationalities. The policeman was happy with his cook, but seemed to pay little attention to the vagaries of a convict who was prowling about.
