The Tea Ladies

The Tea Ladies  helped to ensure that the players were well fed after a hard afternoon on the field.

When age caught up with them and a more professional approach to catering was adopted, the Tea Ladies ‘retired’ but were not forgotten. The Past Players Association took them on outings every year so that they could meet together again and enjoy the memories and stories of the kitchen.
