Educated: Saddleworth School, Oldham

Honours: England (Rugby League) 1 Cap

Great Britain 2 Caps

Rugby League Career: Mike played for Wigan, Oldham, Castleford, South Queensland Crushers, Warrington Wolves, Castleford Tigers, Bramley,and Oldham Roughyeds. He was a scrum-half making 1appearance for England and 2 appearances for Great Britain.

Rugby League Coaching Career: Mike coached Bramley and Oldham before moving into Rugby Union.

Rugby Union Coaching Career: Mike’s first appointment was as Defence Coach to the Ireland team and subsequently Saracens, and the 2005 British Lions. Mike joined Bath in 2013 as Head Coach and then Director of Rugby. He was Premiership Director of Rugby of the Season in 2015 . He left Bath joining Toulon as Head Coach in 2016. He spent some time in  Dallas Texas developing rugby in the Dallas club. Returning to England he is now coaching at Leicester Tigers where two of his sons play.
