Career details:
Lived in Box during the War being stationed in the RAF at the Rudloe Manor base.

Later he became a well-known swimming expert and among other things, author of a number of books on swimming. He was Assistant Editor of Swimming Times Magazine and a Director of the Swimming Hall of Fame in the USA.

Died in Bushey, Herts in April 1970 at the age of 52
