Killed in action with the Eighth Army two days before his 32nd birthday.

Peter was a qualified pharmacist having trained with his stepfather, Mr E G Dickinson of Wilson Dickinson in George Street, Bath.

Peter saw active service in Syria, North Africa and Italy

A versatile rugby player – a very good Full Back and a marauding Back Row forward who scored many tries through his quick thinking and quick follow up.

While at Green Park Peter played soccer but was in the school rugby 1st XV whilst at school in Blundellsands. On returning to Bath he played for Oldfield Old Boys before joining Bath Extras. He very quickly gained a place in the Bath A team and then into the 1st XV as Full Back His first 1st XV game was against Moseley on the Rec.

Peter was a qualified pharmacist, having trained with his stepfather, Mr E G Dickinson of Wilson Dickinson in George Street Bath.

Peter saw active service in Syria, North Africa and Italy

A versatile rugby player – a very good Full Back and a marauding Back Row forward who scored many tries through his quick thinking and quick follow up. He was a well built fellow, rather on the tall side, and was renowned for his fearless defence. He had a long and accurate kick. Peter was calm and unruffled in temperament.
